And I Feel Fine

When the world ends, what's left in the mind of a man already losing his own?

And I Feel Fine is a surreal psychological short, produced from script to final cut in just 3 weeks.

Achievements

Writing, Directing, Editing

The most brilliant thing is when you get people that want to work with you, tell them that they’ll be filming for 12-16 hours a day for the next week, and they say “Hell yeah!” I have never worked with so many passionate people willing to put up with my spontaneity and weird creative vision.

I wrote and storyboarded the full script in just five days, crafting the psychological and surreal narrative exactly as I pictured it. I directed the film over the course of a one-week shoot, capturing my vision on a tight schedule with a focus on cinematography and character performance. Edited the full 35-minute film in a single week—color graded every scene and used advanced masking techniques to create a dynamic saturation effect that shifts with the protagonist’s mental state.

Production Management

Leading all the production logistics for the film was an intimidating task — from casting and location scouting to scheduling and daily logistics — especially under the three week time constraints. I had to work on my feet and play everything by ear. I coordinated Airbnbs for overnight shoots, drafted contracts, managed our limited budget, and built a shot-by-shot schedule to keep us moving. Most importantly, I made sure everyone felt supported—whether that meant troubleshooting on set, keeping spirits up, or simply making sure there was always something to eat; the 4:00 am stop at the Waffle House was integral!
